Tenacity I have been acting in theatre since l was twelve years old and in film since not long after that, including a film directed by John Candy when I was thirteen. Since that time, I have quite literally been involved at all times without exception in some aspect of a theatre or film production: I have never stopped, but rather continued to raise the bar on myself. I will always continue to seek out new and interesting challenges with ever more exciting and significant collaborations.
Talent I give myself fully to each role. I research, practice and challenge myself with development throughout my day. I then release that development in order to allow it to settle as the bedrock of the character upon which it becomes possible to live a dramatic experience truthfully. From there, I can say that people have indeed not only encouraged me to continue onward but have also contributed to finding my next roles!
Training In addition to working many interesting jobs, international volunteering, law school and winning some awards along the way, I have completed many studies and training programs in acting: Film Studies, workshops with the likes of Dustin Hoffman and Carl Weathers, an 8 year long practicum youth group, an in person course and subsequent work collaboration with Australian Film Director Kim Farrant and much more. I have also studied related aspects, such as technical production and socio-cultural context.
Team My mother suggested an additional “T” in this list, which represents all of the people and the contributions that are necessary for a successful career. From the beginning, I have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by excellent and inspiring people, from my family to the Director of my Theatre Youth Group, my Drama Teacher in High School and many amazing current collaborators whether they direct, make costumes, cast projects, capture sound and the list goes on!
Timing Maybe that is where you come in! I am always looking to raise the bar and take on more demanding and more stimulating projects. I can say with confidence that I have followed an upward rising path thus far and I have no intention of losing that momentum.
