BIO: CREATION & PARTICIPATION
At the age of eleven, already having made a number of silly films, my father and I called up the local theatre after watching a Michael Caine biography. Someone was at our door within an hour and I jumped a 45 person waiting list, and I performed at that theatre for a decade. Since then, I have studied film as art, as artefact and as production, I have made countless short films, I have participated in ever bigger productions including the Terminator 2:3-D show at Universal Studios Japan. It has been a journey!
In and among that journey is a lot of international volunteering; a theatre youth group in India, a summer festival with orphans in Japan, films with kids in Ecuador, cinema therapy workshops in Montreal and a Restorative Justice program in Los Angeles. I have been fortunate enough to share experiences with a tremendous range of inspiring people.
Alongside creation within the film world, my life has always and will always have an aspect of participation within the world of social justice. And those worlds have and will continue to feed each other!
